Coastal Community Foundation Hosts Community Cookout at Penn Center

This Sunday, the Coastal Community Foundation is partnering with the Penn Center to host a St. Helena Community Cookout & Back-to-School Celebration, and they're looking for a little help from our community to make it a success.

As families prepare for the new school year, organizers are collecting donations to support local students and families. Items such as school supplies, backpacks, and gift cards are all appreciated. Even something as simple as a $5 Chick-fil-A gift card can make a child's day and serve as a fun raffle prize.

If you'd like to donate but aren't able to drop items off, please let me know—I’d be happy to pick them up.

This event is about much more than food and school supplies. The Community Cookout has two important goals:

Inspire and engage local youth by introducing them to opportunities in philanthropy, nonprofit work, leadership, and community service.

Increase community awareness and involvement in the St. Helena feasibility study, encouraging residents to learn more, share their ideas, and help shape the future of the island.
