Gwen Yvette Music to Host “Rooted” Summer Concert Series at Penn Center

Historic Penn Center is proud to partner with Gwen Yvette Music to present Rooted, a vibrant summer concert series celebrating community, culture, and the enduring spirit of the Sea Islands.

Held on the last Saturday of each month from June through September, this family-friendly series invites guests to gather on the Penn Center grounds for an evening of live music, connection, and summer fun.

From 4PM to 8PM, attendees can enjoy performances that highlight both the rich traditions and evolving sounds of the Gullah Geechee corridor.

Mark your calendars for June 27, July 25, August 29, and September 26.

Rooted is already growing into something phenomenal, with an exciting lineup on the horizon. Organizers are currently seeking additional artists, bands, singers, and musicians to join this inaugural series, along with vendors interested in connecting with the community. Vendor opportunities are available at $75 per date or $250 for the full series.

Earlybird tickets are available now at $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. For more information, call or text 803.903.2399 or email gwenyvettesings@gmail.com.
